Who runs it
tokenusage.dev is run by the maintainer of token-counter, a Codex plugin whose code is public. The site has no data of its own: every number here was sent by a sharer, normally through the plugin's share skill, and is self-reported.
How it relates to token-counter
token-counter counts the tokens in your own Codex logs and draws a report on your machine, with no network call. Sharing is a separate skill, and opt-in: only when you ask does it send a summary here, where it becomes a public profile, a row on the leaderboards and, if you include it, your report page at a link you can send. The plugin counts a share from the same ledger as its local report, so the two agree day for day. The code that reads the logs and sends a share is in the plugin's repository.
Not official
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI. Codex and ChatGPT are OpenAI's products, and plan names and prices are OpenAI's. The token figures are sharers' own, and nothing here is a statement from OpenAI about what any plan holds.
tokenusage.dev is not related to tokenusage.org.
Handles
A handle is whatever its sharer chose. No one checks who is behind it, so a handle says nothing about who someone is or where they work. If one impersonates someone, ask for it to be taken down.
